**WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!!**

Hope was the song of this episode, produced by Alex Hope, and the mentors were Scott Borchetta, Marie-Mai, Sarah McLachlan, as well as Alex Hope. 5 talented artists performed in front of the 4 mentors, while having the "hope" of being launched (.... see what I did there?!)

The Launch: season 2 episode 2

The talented Alexandra Porat.

The first singer to perform in front of the four mentors was Alexandra Porat, from Mississauga, Ontario. She tells the mentors that she uploads covers on YouTube, and has gotten 7.5 million views, which amazes them. Alex sings a cover of Wild Things by Alessia Cara, and learns a good lesson for next time, but she still did an amazing job, nevertheless.

Fall in love with Avery Florence's voice.

The second artist up was Avery Florence, a singer / songwriter, born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, but currently living in Montreal, Quebec. She explains that as soon as she moved to Montreal, she started fresh and focused more on her music. Avery sang her original song; Fly and covered I'm Not the Only One by Sam Smith. Her voice will definitely make you fall in love.

Phé, making you feel all the feels.

The 24 year-old from Vancouver, British Colombia, reunited with Sarah McLachlan, as she went to Sarah's school of music when she was in high school. Phé sang God Is a Woman by Ariana Grande and impressed the mentors.

Sweet Baby T!! THE T. Thomason.

T. Thomason, the indie-pop/rock artist from Halifax, Nova Scotia captivates the mentors with his transition story and obviously, his angelic and powerful voice. He sings his original song Loser, and delivers all the high notes while playing his guitar. I love his story as much as I love him, which is a lot.

The charming, Trevor LaRose.

The 25 year-old from Mississauga, Ontario, explains how much he loves to play music and how he's been doing that all his life. Trevor also talked about how reserved he used to be and how music has helped him. He sang Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran, and the mentors loved his voice, you will too.

The two artists chosen to record their own version of the song, and perform it in front of the mentors and an audience, were Trevor LaRose and T. Thomason! They went in the studio with Scott Borchetta, and Alex Hope to record their original version of Hope.

T. Thomason made the song his own by changing a few lyrics, so he could connect to it more, the mentors also added a bit more punches in the song, to make it more of his song.

Trevor LaRose went in the studio with the mentors too, and Sarah added a little bit acoustic guitar, to make it more of Trevor's song.

Then it was time to perform! Trevor's performance will give you the chills and T.'s performance will definitely make you ugly cry, be sure you have a tissue near you while watching it.

The mentors had a very hard choice on their shoulders, to pick which one of their versions of the song would be launched. They picked T. Thomason's version and T. was extremely grateful and I'm so happy for him. Also, congrats Trevor, for making it that far, you did an amazing job!
