You may know the talented musician from the band SILOS, based in Montreal. He's the lead guitarist and does some background vocals in the group too. Despite being in the four-pieced alternative/indie/rock band, Jesse Minna recently released three catchy and whole-hearted songs to experiment his new ideas and musical abilities.
He started making music at a very young age, by using butter knives as drum sticks. He says "my father would teach [him] rhythm with [his] hands on counters and sinks (sinks makes cool noises)". His father taught him about rock and roll, while his mother taught him about soul, and he finds that he puts the two of them together while making music. He's been in so many projects since high school, and says that being in SILOS has got him put of his comfort zone, for the best.
He calls them bedroom demos; "Waiting On You", "Miss Lonely", and "Rain", those were the titles of the three beautifully done songs he released onto YouTube last month. Full of meaning, and danceable, Jesse Minna definitely proved that he could pull anything off. Keep an eye out for him, because we all know that he won't be just a regular one hit wonder.
