If you're a festival enthusiast, a Chicago local, or just a music listener, the annual Lollapalooza festival in Grant Park, Chicago is all about artists on the rise.
If you plan on going to the festival, here's some artists you shouldn't miss:
ALEXANDER 23
From Chicago, IL, pop artist Alexander 23 is an upcoming act who's quickly growing, after opening for Alec Benjamin's North American "Outrunning Karma tour", last spring. With only four released singles so far, he'll amaze you with covers, and even some unreleased tunes on August 1st, at 1 PM on the BMI stage.
BEA MILLER
You know you love her. The American singer/songwriter was on "The X Factor" when she was thirteen years old. The artist has released a few albums so far, and has over 6 000 000 monthly listeners on Spotify. She collaborated with 6lack on the song it's not u it's me, and her latest single is titled feel something. If you like relatable lyrics covered in a danceable beat, catch Bea Miller's set on August 3rd, at 1:50 PM on the American Eagle stage.
LOUIS THE CHILD
Louis The Child is a DJ duo formed of Robby Hauldren and Frederic Kennett. From Chicago, IL, they've released a countless amount of singles, along with remixes, and a couple of EPs; Love Is Alive and Kids At Play. Catch them on the Bud Light stage, at 5 PM, on August 4th.
THE BAND CAMINO
The independent pop/rock quartet claims to be "your mom's favourite band", but they just might be yours too. From Memphis, TN, they recently released singles Daphne Blue and See Through, and you don't want to miss them on the
T-Mobile stage, at 1 PM, on August 3rd.
CONAN GRAY
Upcoming artist from Georgetown, TX has grown a fan base very quickly, ever since his song Idle Town went viral on his YouTube channel. Gray has opened up for Panic! At The Disco at multiple of their shows, and has even headlined two North American tours and one European tour. He's currently working on his debut album, but in the mean time, catch him at the Bud Light stage, at 2:45 PM, on August 2nd.
DEAN LEWIS
The Australian singer/songwriter is so passionate about music and that's the first thing you realize about him. His single Waves was certified 5 x platinum a few years ago, and things have only gotten better for Lewis. His debut album A Place We Knew was released this year and has only gotten good comments - no shock there. Catch Dean Lewis' set on August 4th, at 3 PM, on the Bud Light stage.
LENNON STELLA
Just finishing a sold out North American tour, things have only been looking up for the Canadian pop artist. At 19 years old, she's already reached over 8 000 000 monthly listeners on Spotify and has got a lot of radio play by her song La Di Da, as well as her debut EP Love, me ranked in the Top 5 of Billboard's Heatseekers Album Chart. Don't miss her set on the Bud Light stage, at 2:45 PM, on August 1st.
PICTURE THIS
Picture This is a rock band from Ireland, made up of Ryan Hennessy (vocals & guitar), Jimmy Rainsford (drums), Owen Cardiff (guitar), and Cliff Deane (bass). They'll rock your socks off on August 2nd, at 1:15 PM, on the T-Mobile stage.
BüLOW
From Germany, she has been one of the best breakout pop artists of the year. With a huge success on her singles Not A Love Song and Sweet Little Lies, it's no surprise people love her catchy beats and mesmerizing voice. Bülow has recently released her EP Crystalline and has over
4 000 000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Get dancing to her music at the BMI stage, on August 4th, at 6:50 PM.
LIILY
Alternative/rock quartet from Los Angeles, is quickly growing their own fanbase ever since the release of their debut album I Can Fool Anybody In This Town. Go witness Liily's energetic live performance on the BMI stage, on August 3rd, at 1 PM.
JOSIE DUNNE
The pop artist has opened up for artists like Ben Rector and Andy Grammer, along with her own headline shows. She released her debut EP is 2018, and has been releasing danceable singles since. Her live presence is more than awesome, and you can catch her opening for AJR at a Lollapalooza after show on August 2nd, at the House of Blues.
STILL WOOZY
Sven Gamsky, also known as Still Woozy, is from California, and has nothing but sick tunes. The artist has almost 3 000 000 monthly listeners on Spotify, and has recently released his debut EP, titled Lately. He also records all of his songs in his garage and studio. Dance along with his beats on August 4th, at Tito's Handmade Vodka, at 2 PM.
ALEC BENJAMIN
From Pheonix, Arizona, the singer/songwriter is known for his raw voice and acoustic guitar. The artist is well known for his demo tracks along with songs like Let Me Down Slowly and Boy In The Bubble. With sold out headlining shows, and so many engaging fans, you don't want to miss his set on August 2nd, at the American Eagle stage, at 1:50 PM.
RYAN BEATTY
The American alternative artist has recently started to release new music this year, with his album Boy In Jeans. While he's been in the music industry for a few years, he took time to discover his own musical style, and "honestly I can't complain". Catch his set on August 4th, on the Bud Light stage, at 1 PM.
HALF•ALIVE
From Long Beach, California, the trio consists of Josh Taylor (lead vocals), J Tyler Johnson (bass), and Brett Kramer (drums). With performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and reaching over 23 000 000 streams on Spotify for their single still feel.,
the group has their own way of doing things, and I'm totally here for it. Don't miss their set on August 1st, at the American Eagle stage, at 2:50 PM.
